Sigit Sutikno is a lecturer at Civil Engineering Dept. Universitas Riau, Indonesia. He is a head of The Center for Peatland & Disaster Studies (Pusat Studi Gambut & Kebencanaan (PSGB)), Universitas Riau. His expertise is in Peatland Hydrology and Coastal Engineering.

He graduated from:

  • Undergraduate Program (1997) on Civil Engineering, University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Research topic: Study on The Characteristics of Brantas River Basin Using ARSP Model.
  • Graduate Program (2002) on Civil Engineering (Hydraulic Study Program), University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Research topic: Numerical Modeling of Turbulent K-epsilon Equation Using Finite Element Method.
  • Ph.D. Program (2012) on Integrated School of Agriculture and Engineering, University of Miyazaki, Japan. Research topic: Development of a Simulation Model for Evaluating Tsunami Evacuation and its Application.
